We are the B-tech dance group and we formed together in the middle of October 2009. Miss Johnson wanted to start a GCSE dance class for yr 10s and we all joined as we all had a passion for dance. There are 6 of us in the group, allow us to introduce ourselves:
Reena: - I Love dance and music, I have done many dances in the past in all places, and I mainly like slow dances which have a beat to it. I help choreograph a lot of the dances when we do performances.
Avni: - I have done Bollywood dances in the past and I mainly like street dance but I also like doing contemporary dance.
Diwa: - in the past I have done belly dancing, and I love dancing to upbeat music, in the future I would like to learn tango.
Tasnim: - I love dancing, mainly street and contemporary but I would like to learn Ballet.
Katy: - I mainly do street dance and I go to dance schools to improve my dancing.

Sophia: - I used to do ballet when I was younger, I love dancing to street but I would like to continue my ballet more. As we are a B-tech dance group we weren’t able to fit our classes into our timetables, so we need to go every Thursdays after school for 1 hour and Miss Johnson teaches us like a class. It is an extra 2 GCSE ‘s which will help us a lot in the future
We have performed a lot of shows together but our most recent one was at arts depot, the show was the Barnet dance festival. Our dance was called the “box” which had a mixture of street and contemporary. The show for us was a letdown, this was because the CD had broken down while we was performing, but as B-tech dance performers we did not stop dancing and carried on with the dance by improvising until the song finished. We were told by many performers and schools that our dance pieces were very good and we were fantastic for not stopping when our CD broke! Thankfully, nobody noticed!
We would recommend BTEC dance to anyone who has a passion for dance, music, and wants to stay fit and have fun at the same time! We really enjoyed our experience and we want to thank everyone who came to watch us and support us.
