The other dance groups that were there were Bishop Douglas, Q.E girls, Coptall and us, The Compton. We were the last group to perform on the night so this performance had to be good so that the parents can remember our dance clearly, “No pressure”!We tried the best we can do and in the end we were the best group meaning that we will go to Sadlers Wells to perform with the best groups in the country on the 11th of July.
Ironically, that’s the same date as the world cup final in South Africa. Sadlers Wells is the biggest theatre in Europe. Other big dance groups have performed there like Diversity and Floorless. The stage is approximately 15m long and 10m in the width. The one that we have in our school is only 5m so you can tell that this place was big.
After the show we had no time to rest as the next day we practiced our new dance. This one is even harder than before. There was no time to rest again as we performed our dance to the year 8 in our school. They were all impressed of our organisation. Break dancing is hard work but exhilarating and well worth the effort when you do well and win the competition! I would recommend it to anyone who likes dancing and hip hop music and wants to have a bit of fun. If you are interested in coming to our dance group, we practice every Tuesday. So what are you waiting for? Step into dance!
