Oxford St. Vs Westfield
Battle of the shops

FOOD: Oxford Street has a small range of places to eat from starting with fast food chains such as McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut to more sophisticated in store food stalls such as the food in Selfridges, however food on the actual street is quite limited to on the go food and fast food options. Rating for Food: 6/10

Westfield has a much bigger range of places to eat with a range of food stations scattered around the store such as pick ‘n’ mix and crêpeaffair but also has a regular fish and chip shop and a Nandos, for more upmarket eating there are popular stylish restaurants such as Fire and Stone and Del'Aziz.

Fire and Stone provides a selection of pizza’s and pasta’s whereas Del’ Aziz provides food with a Mediterranean, Middle Eastern style. So there is a big range of food to chose from and most of the food choices are all located close to each other so it is easier for you to pick the best option! Rating for Food: 9/10

SHOPS:
Oxford Street is known for its wide range of popular shops and does not fall out of shape on this category, with shops ranging from Primark, New Look and Bershka to shops such as Faith, Zara and Topshop/Topman you are spoiled for choice on what you can buy. The shops also don’t only focus on clothes there are shops for toys as well such as the Disney Store and there are also shops for jewllery, music, books, electrical goods and many more! Rating for Shops: 8/10

Westfield’s stores also have a wide range of options and there is even a whole separate part of the store dedicated to designer good this is called ‘The Village’ and has shops like Dior, Gucci and Hackett. As Oxford Street there is also a huge range of clothes shops and also shops for jewllery, music, books, sports and many more. The one thing I would say about Westfield is that it has all the main shops oxford street apart from Primark but as a bigger version. Nearly all the stores are bigger compared to oxford street! Rating for Shops: 9/10

Transport/general: Oxford Street is quite accessible to the Barnet area with the 134 going to tottenham court road, people can walk to oxford street from there or many people choose to get the tube to Oxford Circus which is on the Central, Victoria and Bakerloo line, other stations that give easy access to oxford street are Bond Street station and Marble Arch Station. In general, Oxford Street has a less safe feel as it is on a street and during the winter and at christmas time it can get very cold outside! Rating for Transport/General: 7/10

Westfield is less accessible and the nearest stations to there is Shepards Bush and White City which are both on the central line. This is quite far, however there are less crowds and you are indoor so it feels much warmer! Rating for Transport/General: 6/10 Conclusion: It was close but Westfield wins with 24/30 and Oxford Street loses with 21/30 however it all depends on your personal choices!
