E-safety

It’s easy to post and write or show things online now. It can be done from your computer, camera and even your phone! You can post statuses on Facebook, post videos on Facebook or Youtube and tell the world what you’re thinking on twitter. Sometimes you may want to remove something you have posted, but remember, anyone could have saved it and re-posted. Be careful of what you post!
Most sites have the ability to remove something if it is inappropriate or offensive.
Many people without good intentions can be online and you need to be aware of them.
Be safe online by remembering not to give away details such as your address and phone number to people that you don’t know or have not really met.

If anyone is being mean to you in any way, shape or form, then PLEASE tell someone, don’t just ‘let it slide’. Be aware of it and TELL someone, whether it be your form teacher, year manager or a dinner lady. Tell someone and it will be fixed before it gets worse.

Try to keep a diary and ‘screenshot’ any bullying that you see taking place. Keep this as evidence.
On the other hand, the internet is an AMAZING place! With Facebook to chat to friends and see their holiday pictures, Twitter to see what your friends up to and even YouTube to watch the latest music videos and songs!

Also, remember that the Compton School has a Twitter now too, don’t forget to follow!!
