We got to go to the park, Powerleague, to play football and Radical to play free computer games over two Thursdays after school. I also did some of the filming at home and that was a great chance for me to break out the video camera again.
The film is about some of the fun activities to do in Barnet and is based on Luke watching us on T.V, then us taking him out to do all the things. We were lucky enough to have our school technician Mr Pluck helping us, but the movie could have been made from just a camera phone.
Our film will be judged by council officers and representatives from Film London, Phoenix Cinema and the Hendon Times. If we win, we get £150 and our film is shown at the Phoenix Theatre in East Finchley. The winning film from each borough will be judged by a panel of film industry professionals who will choose one overall winner – The Best of Film London in 90 Seconds. The Best of Film London in 90 Seconds film, will be shown at a public screening during a presentation in Summer 2010.
It was a really fun thing to do and to get us out of the house, and I think if the competition is running next year more people should get involved, Film-Makers or not!
